CHAPTER XI. PUBLIC OFFENSESCHAPTER XI. PUBLIC OFFENSES\Article 2. Local Provisions

(a)   It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 18 to be on the city streets of Thayer, Kansas later than 11:00 p.m. on any night unless said minor is on the street for the following purposes:

(1)   school functions;

(2)   employment;

(3)   unless accompanied by their parent or guardian.

(b)   Penalties. Any person convicted of violating any provision of this section shall be fined not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00.

(a)   Criminal damage to property is by means other than by fire or explosive:

(1)   willfully injuring, damaging, mutilating, defacing, destroying, or substantially impairing the use of any property in which another has an interest without the consent of such other persons; or

(2)   injuring, damaging, mutilating, defacing, destroying, or substantially impairing the use of any property with intent to injure or defraud an insurer or lienholder.

(b)   Penalty. Any person or persons violating any of the provision of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment of not more than thirty days or both by such fine and imprisonment.

(a)   Disorderly conduct is hereby defined as knowledge or probable cause to believe that such acts will alarm, anger or disturb others or provoke and assault or other breach of the peace:

(1)   engaging in brawling or fighting; or

(2)   disturbing an assembly, meeting or possession, not unlawful in its character; or

(3)   using offense, obscene, or abusive language or engaging in noisy conduct tending reasonably to arouse alarm, anger or resentment in others.

(b)   Penalties. Any person convicted of violating any provision of this section shall be fined not less than $50.00 nor more than $500.00
