Article 4. Personnel Policy And Employee Benefits
There is hereby incorporated by reference for the purpose of establishing employee personnel rules and regulations the document entitled “Uniform Personnel Policies and Guidelines for the City of Thayer. At least one copy of said document shall be marked or stamped “Official Copy as adopted by the Code of the City of Thayer and which there shall be attached a copy of this section. Said official copies shall be filed with the city clerk and shall be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours. All departments of the city shall be supplied with copies of such rules and regulations as may be deemed necessary.
(a) The City of Thayer, in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 12-16,102, as amended, does hereby establish an employee benefits contribution fund for the purpose of paying the City’s share of employee benefits prescribed by subsection (b).
(b) Healthcare costs shall be paid in an amount determined by the City Council of the City of Thayer. The cost of employee benefits authorized for payment from the fund created by section (a) shall include the following: Employer contributions for social security, workers compensation unemployment insurance, health care costs, employee benefit plans, and employee retirement and pension programs.
